Dr. Spoorthi is an American Board Certified Internal Medicine physician who returned back to India after practicing medicine in the US for 15 years. Her passion for preventive medicine is reflected throughout her career in the US. Having trained at some of the best institutions globally and worked at world class hospitals such as Cleveland Clinic (Ohio,USA), Virgina Mason (Seattle, USA) and Geisinger Health System (Pa,USA), she believes that patients in our city and country deserve the same standard of evidence-based and respectful care that patients have come to expect in the very best institutions.
Her special interest in preventive Cardiology led her to Stanford Medical Center (California, USA) where she studied dedicated risk factor screening and treatment of heart disease in South Asian patients. Further, she has a Medical Informatics graduate degree from Oregon Health & Science University (Portland, USA). She did her MBBS at the prestigious Madras Medical College, Chennai.
